Dear Parents and Carers
It’s hard to believe that we are almost in to our last week of the Autumn term, the time has sped by. And, we still have so much to do and so many exciting things to look forward to before we finish.
Firstly, thank you all so very much for supporting our School Christmas Fair in the many ways that you did and for coming along to help make it such a huge success. I am thrilled to tell you that we raised a staggering £1,501! Wow!
Aside from the fantastic amount raised, the whole event was such a fabulous occasion to be part of, there was a lovely, ‘Christmassy’ atmosphere and everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The stalls were a great success, the children who ‘manned’ them did so very professionally and those children brave enough to take to the stage, entertained us brilliantly.
I’d also like to thank all the staff: teachers, teaching assistants, office staff and lunch time ladies, all of whom worked so hard – whilst looking very festive – to enable things to run so smoothly, this was a brilliant team effort.
I really hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
There were many prize winners on the evening also. Many congratulations to: Nuala Jackson who won the Christmas Cake; Barnaby Gent who won the knitted nativity and to Ellen who won the ‘Build a Bear’. The winners of Mr Blake’s Festive Sports were: Liam, Matthew, Finley, Jonathon and Ben. And finally, the winners of the best decorated jars were: Nursery, Ryann; Reception, Florence; Year 1, James; Year 2, Louis; Year 3, Sam; Year 4, Jack; Year 5, Jack and Year 6, Megan. Well done all of you!
Sale Town Partnership Drawing Competition
Some of our very talented artists entered a drawing competition organised by Sale Town Partnership, and I’d delighted to say they all won! Many congratulations to: Joseph, Isablle, Seniyah and Danielle.
Cross country children
Last Saturday some of our children attended the Trafford Primary Schools’ Cross-Country Championships. They braved the weather, performed brilliantly and represented our school superbly. Very well done to Cora and Grace, Georgia and Edward and to Ben. We are all very proud of you.
